Here's how your onboarding will work:
-
Your manager is responsible for your onboarding from your very first day with us. Your manager, or a colleague who's also there to help you settle in during your first weeks, will meet you when you arrive at the office at the agreed time. You'll be introduced to your new co-workers, meet your new manager, get an introduction to your department, and take a tour of the office. You'll also receive login details for your Aller Media account, a work computer, a phone, and access to any other tools you might need in your role.
-
Once you've started, you'll get access to the onboarding process in People, Aller Media's HR portal. In People, you'll find a checklist of tasks we'd like you to complete when you join us.
-
We host Nordic introduction days for all new employees once each semester. We provide a little something to eat, and you'll learn more about Aller Media as a company and workplace while also getting the chance to meet your local colleagues from other teams. The invitation will be sent out in Outlook – keep an eye on your calendar!
About Aller Media
Aller Media is one of the largest media companies in the Nordics, with operations in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland and around 1,200 employees. Together, we create powerful stories and experiences across our roughly 60 brands for our users throughout the Nordic region.
We're the Nordic market leader in weekly magazines and periodicals, both in print and digitally. We also reach a wide audience through our daily newspapers, such as Dagbladet in Norway. With a broad portfolio of digital media and services, Aller Media is always at the forefront, offering our readers and users the latest news and experiences, always with our belief in the power of stories to enrich, entertain, and inspire.
This is a part of our strategy, which you can learn more about in the video below.
Our Culture
It takes many different talents, experiences, and skills to run and grow one of the Nordics' leading media houses. We work actively on our shared company culture, leadership, and self-leadership, where your engagement and sense of ownership matter and truly make a difference.
Here you'll find a welcoming community and a genuine care for one another that makes it fun and easy to grow together. We regularly organize shared activities like after-work hangouts, training groups, and inspirational talks to foster connection and community. Don't hesitate to reach out to your manager or to your local P&C if you have any questions or want to share your ideas!
Stay in the loop!
On our intranet you'll find tools and guides, the employee handbook, information about benefits, and much more. You'll get your login on your first day.
Employee communication, news, and day-to-day contact with colleagues all happen on Slack. You'll get access to your account on your first day.
Every month, we all tune in to Aller Media's award-winning internal talk show, Aller Media News. There you'll always get the latest updates from our teams and brands. This, along with insights and inspiration to help us work better together, build cross-border relationships, and stay up to date on all the projects and initiatives bubbling away in our media house, both Nordic and local.
